She was noticed after winning several beauty pageants like the Miss Madras contest (1999), which marked her entry into filmdom.
Trisha was born and raised in Chennai, into a Tamil-speaking family. Trisha who was on top of her game for more than half a decade has been struggling to get back to glory in the recent past. She suffered few flops and also lost some good chances due to that. Trisha however didn't lose hope and has been giving her best to every movie that she starred in. Persistence and hard work of this talented and beautiful actress has paid off. Trisha's latest release in Tamil, Endrendrum Punnagai has been receiving lot of critical acclaim. This film released on Friday and opened to almost empty houses. But the word of mouth is fast spreading and the glowing reviews are drawing audience in big numbers.
Trisha's performance is being lauded by one and all. Tamil critics say that it is easily the best works of Trisha so far. Trisha will now get more offers and it also might give some confidence to the RUM makers that have stalled the film after shooting two schedules. Rambha Urvasi Menaka is being made in Telugu and Tamil. We can expect Trisha's Endrendrum Punnagai starring Jeeva in the main lead to be dubbed in Telugu.
Trisha Krishnan is known for her love for animals and actively promotes adoption of dogs through her association with animal rights organisation People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). The pretty heroine lost her pet dog 'Cadbury' which she found and adopted in Hyderbad during a film shoot a few years back. Mourning the death of her pet, Trisha tweeted "Dnt kno hw 2 function witout u Cadu, I buried a part of me wit u. RIP my life."
Consoling the K-town actress, Siddharth tweeted "So sorry for your loss Trish. Feels like we found him in nanakramguda just yesterday. He's in doggy heaven now. RIP Cadbury."
She wanted to debut in the film industry with the name Suhasini. She is a Tamil/Malayalee Brahmin. In 2004, Trisha found unwanted fame as the subject of a sleazy MMS (phone video clip) allegedly showing her nude in the shower. She claimed the person in the video was a 'body double'. However, the scandal did help her become the most sought after actress in Tamil movies during 2005
Trisha Krishnan has been chosen as the star ambassador of the Chennai Rhinos team for the upcoming fourth edition of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). "Trisha will be the ambassador of our team. We are happy to bring her on board. Since she is from Chennai, we thought it would make sense to rope her in. We are glad it finally materialised," an official spokesperson of the Chennai Rhinos team told us.
Shruti Haasan was the star ambassador of the Chennai Rhinos team during the third edition of the cricket league. The official announcement of the fourth season of CCL will be held Friday by former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Initially Trisha was approached by producers and after she refusing it, it had gone to Anjali who flatly refused the project. Now the grapevine is that Trisha has been offered a whopping one crore compared to her current market figure of 30-40 lakhs and she seems to have said a big yes for the film!
From past two years Trisha’s career was drastically step downed and in 2013 she didn’t have single release in Tollywood. Even though she acquired good response for here recently release Tamil film “Endrendrum Punnagai” but in Telugu there is no presence of her.
