Emi Takei (武井 咲 Takei Emi?, born on December 25, 1993[1] in Nagoya, Japan) is a Japanese actress, model and singer. Originally an aspiring model, when Takei entered junior high school, she declared to her parents that she would become a model within her 3 years in junior high.[2] In 2006, she entered the 11th Japan Bishōjo Contest and won in not only one, but two categories - she received the Model Division Award and the Multi-Media Award. She subsequently made her model debut in the November 2006 issue of Seventeen, which became her first job in the entertainment industry. In February 2007, she became a model exclusive to the magazine, and earned her first solo cover on the 15 February issue.

Emi Takei has had supporting roles in many TV dramas and movies, such as "The Cherry Orchard," "Liar Game 2" and "Gold and Otomen." Her sweet smile also makes her popular for commercials. Her famous commercials include Lotte Chocolate "Ghana Milk," Softbank Mobile "White Family 24" and Shiseido "Maquillage."

Emi Takei probably isn’t a name that most people would be familiar with. Nevertheless, since the start of 2012, the actress that first came onto the Japanese entertainment scene with an appearance in the movie “The Cherry Orchard”, in 2008 has revealed some interesting information about herself. This is the first of what may be two or more parts of interesting facts about this Japanese beauty. The Japanese name for that movie is called Sakura No Sono. In addition, she has been awarded. On January 11, 2012, Takei was awarded for being the best wearer of jewelry. This was during the 23rd annual Jewelry Best Wearer Award ceremony in Odaiba, Japan. This award is presented to both male and female celebrities who wear jewelry the most and they are divided into age groups. Takei who will turn 19 on Christmas Day is still considered a teenager.

Takei was ecstatic when she received the award saying that she now feels confident. Her stated goal is to wear and suit jewelry as she gets older. The ceremony is held each year a part of the international jewelry exposition. Jewelry from all over the world is on display and is host to over 1,350 jewelry designers and makers from 35 different nations! This is a huge awards ceremony. Just several days later, the actress was again rewarded because the famous cosmetics brand called Maquillage once again selected her to be something called their CM character.

On March 29, 2012, Takei was chosen to be the image character for the Tokyo Metro’s campaign titled “We Are the Tokyo Navigator” which started on April 1st. The company’s stated reason for choosing Takei had to do with the way that she approaches various fields and this approach was said to overlap with the company’s concept and image. On April 10, it became announced that Takei would appear in Lotte’s Mother’s Day campaign titled “CM Mother’s Day 2012. On June 4th, Takei starred in a commercial for Lotte’s Fruitio Gum in which she had her hair designed like a bunch of grapes. It took nine days to make that hair and 1.5 hours just to put on. But all that preparation and hard work was worth it as Takei really enjoyed the color very much. But she ended up making contact with the cameras on the set! This was because the hair was so wide. In the commercial, the actress thinks about the gum so much that when she chews it, her hair turns into grapes. How about that for a nice, interesting surprise? The commercial started to be aired in all of Japan a week later.

Emi Takei attended the fashion show for the Italian brand Gucci. It was for the 2012-13 Fall and Winter Collection. This was a history making event because Takei became the first Japanese celebrity to sign a contract with this company. She saw other models like Ai Tominaga walk the runway and she became very inspired by this. Takei had wanted to appear in a show like this since she was young and her dream came true. She attended the event dressed in all Gucci clothes. She also got the chance to meet with Gucci president and CEO Patrizio Di Marco. He handed to her the invitation for the 2013 Spring and Summer collection event which is scheduled for September 2012 in Milan, Italy. Takei expressed that she is looking forward to this opportunity.
