Nozomi Sasaki (佐々木 希 Sasaki Nozomi?, born February 8, 1988), previously known simply as Nozomi during her fashion modeling career, is a Japanese glamour model and former professional fashion model from Akita. After working as a fashion model for nearly 7 years, she has become famous as a gravure idol and main ringside commentator / spokesperson for the mixed martial arts competition Dream Fighting Championships and the kickboxing competition K-1 World Max since 2009.
Since late 2008 she has released five photobooks and two DVDs, and has also made countless appearances on television, magazines, and ads unrelated to fashion / cosmetic, including ones for Coca-Cola's green tea products, Suntory's 3 soft drink products, So-net, Willcom, Fujifilm, Kao, Rohto Pharmaceutical Co. and Seiko's Tisse brand line created for and dedicated to her. She has also endorsed an accessory brand, Cotton Cloud, since June 2010 when it was created for her and its first flag shop opened in Harajuku.
Arashi's Ninomiya Kazunari (28), who on the 26th started doing Arashi's Waku Waku School in Tokyo Dome, recently spoke for the first time about his [rumored] relationship with model Sasaki Nozomi (23), saying, "We get along normally." It was back in May that publications first began to allude to Ninomiya and Sasaki's more than neutral relationship. With a soft smile, Ninomiya responded to, "So you're saying your relationship is going fine, then?" with "It's normal." "Friends? Yes." he also said, putting an emphasis on the fact that they're friends. After the interview conducted before the final of the Waku Waku School performances, the press tried to call him out again while leaving. Ninomiya, though with a momentarily surprised expression, dealt with them immediately.
Last month there were reports of the two's getting to know each other and repeated home dates. After reports surfaced, the jimusho spoke on behalf of both parties, stating that, "They're each others' friends." At Sasaki's event in May, she issued this suggestive remark, "Because I get lonely, I always want to be with friends." When faced with frank questions about his relationships, Ninomiya's response was nothing but a smiling face and silence.
Ninomiya Kazunari and Sasaki Nozomi have broken up. Can their breakup be blamed on anyone? Well, how about Hannya’s Kawashima Akiyoshi (umm… he’s the fatter one.) Nino’s been prioritizing his time with Kawashima instead of Nozomi. But the root of their breakup can probably be blamed on his management. Ever since their relationship was brought to light last May, fans and management have been incensed by such rumors. (Remember the crazies that sent that petition to his management demanding he break up with her?) Well, Nino is pretty compliant when it comes to his agency’s demands, unlike a certain Akanishi. So after they’ve warned him not to meet up with her, he’s been putting distance between the two.
